Sucre On Tuesday late afternoon I arrived in Sucre and stayed - TopicsExpress

Sucre On Tuesday late afternoon I arrived in Sucre and stayed at the Kultur Berlin hostel. Between Potosí and Sucre I had apparently traded huge internet bandwidth for huge gringo crowds and terrible internet. Kultur Berlin was a nice hostel, but it has 130 beds and a lot of them were occupied. This was only the second time in 5 months that the internet was so bad that I was unable to effectively participate on a work call. I still had a lot of work to to do this week, and several times was completely frustrated at being completely stuck. I have a backup plan when this happens: my cell phone. I have now acquired eight local phone numbers in the countries I have traveled through. I get a pre-paid internet plan, and if the hostel internet is really bad, I just turn on my phones hot spot feature and create my own WiFi network. But in Sucre, even the cell phone coverage was poor, and most of the time I did not have any good internet on my phone either. Interspersed between work I was able to fit in a walking tour of the city on Wednesday, and a visit to the Liberty Museum on Thursday. During the walking tour we visited the local market, and I returned on Thursday to try out the chorizo sandwiches and fresh fruit juices.
