Sun Development and Management Corporation is currently accepting applications for an Accounts Payable Specialist. Applicants must be a self motivator team player with the ability to perform detail oriented tasks. Sun is an operating and management company providing accounting functions to over 35 hotels across the United States. Invoices are submitted from the hotels to the corporate office for payment. The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for invoice coding and payment of their assigned properties. On a monthly basis they are responsible for payment of Sales Tax and Inn Keeper (Hotel/Lodging) Tax along with any filing requirements. The Accounts Payable Specialist must have strong communication, both written and verbal skills, as they are in contact with vendors, sales representatives, and hotel general managers. As part of Sun’s Accounting team, the Accounts Payable Specialist assists with monthly financial reporting and other general accounting functions. Requirements include similar accounts payable experience preferred but not required. Applicants should have exceptional organizational skills and be a highly detail oriented individual. Strong computer skills including proficient use of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. Experience working with an accounting general ledger software preferred. Accounting experience and/or college degree preferred. High school education or equivalent required.
