Super Typhoon Haiyan is probably the biggest storm to hit land anywhere in recorded history after it hit the Philippines this morning, with winds as strong as 235 mph. The storm is supposed to go to Vietnam and Laos over the weekend. This local news report talks about Filipino families in the Bay Area watching the storms impact closely.
