Synthvember 30: (But its December Shhhh!) Everyone remembers Dee-Lite as one-hit wonders for their excellent Groove is in the Heart, a superb synthesis of numerous samples into a coherent whole. Its 1990, the Wall has fallen. We are in a new paradigm. The world is coming together through communications and fashion and style, just before it fragments into a thousand different parallel genres that coexist in the new land called cyberspace. The fear has gone and there is a decade-long party in peace and freedom. We face the music and dance. We are at the end of our journey. We started in the 19th century with instruments the size of cathedrals that projected their sounds through the telephone, through novelty and alienation into the mainstream. Everything is electronic. It is actually a major effort to have any analogue recording from microphone to vinyl. This track reminds us we are one world. One World Clique. Be happy and dont let anyone take that away from you.
