TBT – let’s head back to the 80’s when big hair styles, neon clothing & ripped jeans were in fashion, the like of Madonna, Duran Duran & Billy Ocean were heading up the charts & the Yamaha Syntheziser was the coolest instrument around. Oh and who could forget the walkman, we had these clipped to our belts as we walked the streets at night in our gangs lol!!! The 80’s was not just about the best music ever produced, it gave us technology like the Commodore 64 & the Atari 5200, we spent hours playing Pac Man, Donkey Kong & Tetris, our parents use to complain ‘you’ll get square eye’s from staring at that screen all day’, yeah right of course we will!!! We use to reply back. There were some great TV programmes & films back in the 80’s one of favourites was Miami Vice, ohhh Don Johnson the way he wore his gun holster, the flash cars & speed boat he pretty much had it all & those jackets with the turned back cuffs lol!! we remember actually buying a black jacket with black & white striped rolled back cuffs (don’t worry it is no longer in the wardrobe). Knight Rider was another favourite show, every Saturday night we’d sit & watch the Hoff with the coolest car ever. Comedy wise we use to like the Cosby Show, cheers, The Golden Girls & Roseanne. Just trying to remember the films we would of watched back then, we recall E.T, Indiana Jones & Back to the future, Indiana Jones was our favourite oh & then of course there was Dirty Dancing, lost count how many times we have actually watched this film, what we would of given to of been ‘Baby’. Definitely had a crush on Patrick Swayze for many years. Although we were only children/teenagers in the 80’s we do remember it with fond memories and it’s definitely a decade of our lives we remember the most.
