THE FLYNNER FILES. (Well it has been a while!...) Since it is that time of year again, tonight, I am going to discuss.... the true sadness of Rememberence Day. Yes, it is important to remember all those who died in war, fighting for freedom. But let us Remember these facts. World War One broke out in 1914 because people were caught up in an armaments race bubble and encouraged by the governments and their capitalist/banker pals to go to war so the bubble could keep blowing, what happened? They were fighting against tyranny all right-against each other in horrendous trenches thanks to the greed of the governments, and just to keep the boom blowing, they introduced conscription and gave women jobs in the factories for the first time, and what happened when the Germans fell(or were, in their opinion, backstabbed)? The bubble burst, millions of men were dead, there was no money for investment, and they had to rely on an era of cheap credit that led to the 1929 crash and depression. Meanwhile, the allies tried to keep any illusions going by punishing the Germans while refusing to acknowledge their role in all this even though they knew wewill have to go through this again soon. Right on, that gave Hitler, along with the disaffected Japs and Italians the opportunity to rise to power and upset things worldwide. The result? The world ripped apart by 1945, with 60m. dead. And in this day and age, with bondholder and banker wars breaking out all over again, in Iraq, Afganistan and Syria, isnt it sad that competitions like the X Factor are having their finalists sing singles that are mere copies of songs with the word Hero to try and recruit more cannon fodder for the global conflicts? Does any young man in England honestly think that joining up to fight after listening to any of this trash is going to get him to bed with Cheryl Cole? (God help us if Louis Walsh releases an Armistice version of Holding Out For A Hero!) Yes, remember those who have died, but for why they REALLY fell and not in the cause of bondholders, bankers and globalisation.
