THE POWER OF DREADLOCKS Dont wear a dread just for a style. To a commited rastaman a Dread is a fundamental principle to Vow,& to b a rastafarian without it Contradicts the idea. Leviticus 21:5 ,thy shall not make baldness in their head,neither shall they shave off the corner of their beard nor make any cuttings in thy flesh. 1930 approximately 100 years after Emancipation from slavery, Jamaican Rastafarians adopted dreads as one of their foundational principles. As time unfolded,the principle spread in the island & more n more pipo became dreadlocked. Just like Samson in the Bible,a mans strength rests in the length of the hair & he who choses to cut it gives away his strength.
