Paul then waited for the expiration of the Sabbath, and held a farewell service with the brethren at Troas and consequently resumed his journey on Sunday morning. There is no support for Sunday sacredness in this passage. We all can agree, God gave us the Seventh Day Sabbath. Gen: 2:2-3. The Seventh Day is the Sabbath of the lord. Thy God Ex.20.10-31.13.17. Now in creation the first day was a work day, Gen.1.4:5. Is it in the bible that Sunday is a Holy Day? No! No! Mark 7-9. Matt. 15 -7.9 -Isaiah .8.20-9.15.16. It is said that Jesus changed the Sabbath. Matt 5.17.19. Proved that to be a lie, lets examine this point. Does it make sense? If Christ had changed the Sabbath. If he had changed the law written by the finger of God on Mount Sinai. Wouldn’t he have told us? Heb 4-8. If Jesus Christ was going to change the Sabbath. Wouldn’t he not have changed it where he was living? Wouldn’t he have shown his disciples this changed? Lets explore some of Jesus comments a bit further. In Matt 24.20. This is after his crucifixion and he says: “But pray ye that your flight not in the winter, neither on the Sabbath Day”. This is proof Jesus didn’t anticipate any changed in the Sabbath. But what about after Jesus returned to heaven? Did Paul change the Sabbath? Acts.13.14. But when they (Paul and Barnabas) departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went in to the Synagogue on the Sabbath Day and sit down. And Acts 13.42.44-16.13. Acts 17, but some will say, ‘He only did it three Sabbath Days. Let us read Acts 18. 4. Every Sabbath. For more proof that Jesus Disciples kept the holy Sabbath, it is found in Luke 23:54-56, in verse 54 it was preparation day, the day Christ died, however, this was not Friday. The bible say that the Sabbath was a high Sabbath, “St John 19:14 Vs 31. Back to Luke 23:54-56, the women went to the tomb on the preparation day, and went back home, they did see how they laid his body in the tomb. The made spices and ointments and “Rested” on the Sabbath Day. Now in St Luke 24:1 upon the first day of the week they went to the sepulcher bringing spices and some other things.
