THERES NO ONE EXACTLY LIKE ROBIN WILLIAMS in contemporary comedy (or drama) in any medium. I did not know Robin personally, but like so many others I viewed him as a creative whirlwind, a great talent and a very charitable man -- one who, among other acts of generosity, entertained our troops and raised millions for the less fortunate -- and his sudden and very sad passing is a huge loss to all who love him. It is also a reminder that all of us have to deal at some time or another with our struggles and flaws, and that reaching out in ones own or anothers time of need is what it means to be human. I was lucky to have met and befriended many comics on the way up as a performer; they taught me not only how to ad lib and quell hecklers, but, even if inadvertently, the importance of laughing at myself. I am moved to share this little tribute video I have put together along with a sweet tune, Exactly Like You, that I recorded in 1947 with the Ray Bloch Orchestra for Signature Records, which I am introducing online for the first time. With love and sympathy to Robins family, friends and global fans (of which I will always be one)... Monica
