THINGS TO CONTEMPLATE The Christ taught that to think a bad thing is just as bad as doing a bad thing, because you have already committed the act in your mind. Never, ever underestimate the power of thought! There is a reason why the Lord admonishes us against hating, and to love rather than hate. The Law of the Universe is, we attract to us that which is most like us. Thoughts are elemental forces. (see Kirlian photography )Good thoughts are positive energy whereas bad thoughts are negative energy. That is exactly why the ancient Hebrew Kabbalah teaches us to guard our thoughts. It is through our own thoughts that we become our own friend or enemy. Thoughts affect our psyche. There are good spiritual entities as well as bad. Evil is the insidious tempter. One unguarded moment, one unclean and unsavory thought could creep into our minds and cause spiritual havoc. Saul of Tarsus was a persecutor and murderer of Christians and Jews, until the light of truth transformed him,and he became the Apostle Paul. This is a perfect example why we are taught to love and to pray for our enemies, and why it is taught “vengeance is mine saith the Lord”. Evil is a sickness of the soul, that needs healing. Love the person, and pray for the hateful things to be removed. The greatest power in the Universe is Love! FAITH TESTED AND TRUE How many times have you reached your hand out in friendship, and touched only emptiness? How many times have you opened your heart for brotherhoods sake, and found only coldness? How many times has your faith been tested, in how many ways? Your gesture of friendship is not empty, your loving heart is full, your faith is tested and true.
