THIS... is shaking my dietary believes like a coctail. I have reached my goals always by moderating carbs, cycling carbs, laying off carbs but looking at vegans it confuses me. Carbs are instant energy which, if not used, is being stored as fat. there are good and bad carbs, protein has to be transformed into energy before it can be stored as fat therefore redigesting needs to be done otherwise the body can,t save for later. Fat is harder to digest and takes longer. Fat also needs moderation because it has more than twice as many calories as protein or carbs.
