THURSTON GARDENS UPDATE: As has been discussed elsewhere, this morning the Turaga Tui Namosi the Hon. Ratu Suliano Matanitobua, asked the Minister of Foreign Affairs about government plans to build the Chancery of the Indian High Commission in Thurston Gardens, as a formal question in Parliament. His response was that Thurston Gardens is State Land and is part of an exchange package with land worth millions of dollars in New Delhi, which has been given to the Government of Fiji and this is the exchange between the two governments. I stand to be corrected because the transmission was not clear, but there may also have been tones of “and its none of your business” in his response
