TKSPN. COM BREAKING NEWS WHATS IN A NAME? On the heels of the most recent protest by American-Indians at the Washington Redskins vs Minnesota Vikings game Thursday, some new organizations are voicing their outrage and disgust with some other NFL team names. The countries of Sweden and Norway have now filed defamation lawsuits against the Minnesota Vikings organization citing their belief the team name is misleading and hurtful to the people of these great nations. We are not pillagers or murderers, anymore, Jurgen Olfhammer, lawyer for the two countries stated. There are many other groups who are also having it out with other NFL teams. The NCPPP (National Coalition of Pirates Plunderers & Pilferers) have also filed suit against two organizations, the Oakland Raiders and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Along the same lines as the suit filed against the Vikings, spokesman Captain Black Foot Bill says These organizations paint we good sea fairing folk as mindless, drunken murderers and rapists, were just good people trying to feed arrgh families. Lastly, the STLO (Society of Tall Large & Overgrown) has stated that they too might file suit against the New York Giants. Franklin Huges states The term giant makes many of us feel uncomfortable and out of place. We are not mutants, we are just people. How can I tell my overgrown child some people think he is a mythical giant? Its way over my head how people can still do this. The sensitivity of Americans is at the highest its ever been, we should expect to see many more of our beloved sports organizations come under attack over something as simple as a word.
