Weather Situation A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea will slowly move east over the next few days, moving north of New Zealand on Thursday. A trough over the Bight is also moving eastwards, and will cross Tasmania on Wednesday followed by a relatively weak cold front Wednesday night. Another high will move over the Bight on Thursday as a cold front approaches Tasmania from the west.
