Tata Martino: This generation of Argentina deserves to win something! Martino has emphasized that his current Argentina team are destined to achieve greatness. Our obligation is to win the Copa America. Ive been a life long supporter of the Argentina NT. There has been some great teams throughout history. But I strongly believe that this group of Argentina players wont complete their era without winning a title. This generation has to win something as the players deserve it. Our main objective is to rectify our formation and style of play. Although the team is still as strong as it was inherited from the previous coaching staff. We still have to develop an impression of our game. We have to refresh our concept and have to be prepared for any teams we face. Tata also admitted that his greatest fears are the injuries of his players: The injuries are what hurt me the most. For example, I was really sour after hearing the injury news of Kun & Angel. Im also currently worried about the fitness concerns of Musacchio (Mateo) & Gentiletti (Santiago). Martino also acknowledged his advantage of having Messi & Mascherano in the squad: Undoubtedly having both of them in my team is a big plus for me, as Ive worked with them before, it makes my work easier. Its also an advantage to have Guzman, Vergini and Vangioni in the squad, as Ive also shared a year and a half working with them in Newells Old Boys. Its very common for coaches to work with familiar players, Alejandro (Sabella) did the same with his players from Estudiantes.
