Te na tataou katoa e hoa ma....took my mokos advice, preped up my old mate Roddy & haere atu-ed down to the foreshore yesterday evening for a look see ....the tide was turning from low to high, set my mate Roddy up with 2 small hooks snelled, one above the other and attached to a swivel with a 30z running sinker above the swivel...hell, i had only just set it on run when it did just that...it ran ( whiiiirrrrr ),Roddy buckled furiously up and down when i tightened up on the tension ( brake ).....it was a keeper, then having reset it again on run...wow....it did the same ...i thought hahaaaa...they are on the bite....but that one and the next one were throw backs, so back they went...then i quickly landed another 2 keepers....then .....after resetting again....a great big tug, then all was still....so i reeled my line in ...thinking they stole my bait....but nope,....my line was sheared off instead....so by then the tide was getting to where my gummys were under risk of filling up....so i packed up Roddy and my bag and haere atu-ed off home....thank you moko...papa back in the zone again....fish fillets for our dinner tonight...but fish heads and back bone for lunch.....mauri ora.......lol
