Team Leader Community Outreach – Libraries and Information · Permanent full time · Based in the City Centre Are you ready to lead service delivery to customers in New Zealand’s largest library network? This is your opportunity to lead and manage a team at the Central City Library, Tāmaki Pātāka Kōrero. The library serves a diverse community of inner city residents, including families, students, commuters and visitors to Auckland. The role of Team Leader, Community Outreach calls for excellent communication skills combined with the ability to lead, inspire and motivate a team. You will be ready to engage with colleagues to deliver world class services to customers with an emphasis on children and young people, the elderly and people with access and language needs. The changing demographic of Auckland city means a new focus on children and families and a need for innovation and courage in developing spaces for play and learning. You will build relationships between libraries and Māori in Auckland and work with partners in the city centre to improve services in a changing technological world. We welcome applications from library professionals with LIANZA registration and a tertiary qualification. You will demonstrate strong skills in relationship building, experience in delivering customer services and an ability to motivate a team to deliver services to people of all ages, cultures and aspirations.
