Telangana government has promised to save lakes, protect farmers interests and promote agriculture...however we see them announce a 2000 acre Film City in Rachakonda area...in a place that is rich in agriculture and where the predominant profession of people is agriculture, good community life...and most people are schedule tribes...How does this work in the Interest of people to take away 2000 acres in Rachakonda for a Film City...Is it a Public necessity? The region is full of good sources of water - lakes, tanks, natural water falls and forests...Is this in the interest of the people...In fact, the entire Eastern Ranga Reddy which still untouched land, a major agricultural region is now under threat of acquisition 10,000 acres of Khankar Quarries, Firing range, Film city, and 2000 acres of land identified for shifting the Polluters of Hyderabad (to Yacharam mandal), This is nothing but DEVASTATION with a Capital D --- and yet the proponents of Telangana Rights like Kodandaram dont say a word on this...Is it Okay if the Land is Taken away and people are displaced in the name of Telangana Development?
