Ten Medals At Nationals For iceSheffield Skaters A team from Sheffield have gone from novice skaters to national champions winning ten medals and four titles at the 2014 British Figure Skating Championships. iceSheffields squad dominated the podium positions at the annual National Ice Skating Association (NISA) championships held for the fifth consecutive year at their home rink. A record 35 city-based skaters who have progressed through the venues Learn to Skate programme qualified to represent iceSheffield. Up against almost 140 of the UKs best ladies, mens, pairs and ice dance skaters, they won four gold medals, four silver medals and two bronze. There were gold medals for iceSheffields Advanced Novice Pairs, Emila and Henry Drury, and Lauren Lowry and Branden Marshall in the Basic Novice Pairs event. In the Advanced Novice Men category, Luke Digby took gold and Peter Beaumont won silver. Peter also picked up a gold medal skating with Mia Rose Jowitt in the Advanced Novice Dance event while Clare and Tom Whalley were awarded bronze in the same category. Silver medals also went to Isabel Yeatman, in the Advanced Novice Ladies, Senior Men skater PJ Hallam and Junior Pairs Molly Lanaghan and Jake Astill.
