Ten years ago today I was a scared kid in camouflage marching off with a rifle and back full of gear. I was young and full of piss & vinegar and figured Id become the worlds best war machine - following the footsteps of my father. Ten years later and Im doing something completely different to what I thought I would be doing. Telling stories with my camera. Today when you honour the people who gave their lives for us to live in this beautiful place know that they died deaths you would never wish on your worst enemy. Some, cold and alone in the middle of nowhere, no family to bring them home and no one to hear their last words. Lest we forget.
