Terry Fox was diagnosed with bone cancer at eighteen years of age. He didnt allow cancer to get the better of him. In fact, he pioneered the Marathon of Hope when he began to cover great distances by foot endeavouring to raise a million dollars for cancer research in Canada. He did this despite having lost one of his legs to cancer and replaced by a prosthetic. He became an inspiration to fellow- Canadians covering a total distance of 3,300,39 miles! His story is a reminder that when we are faced with the harsh realities of life, we can still choose to not allow them to overcome us. Terry may have lost his battle to cancer when it took his life, but dealing with it the way he did, he certainly won the war against it! ow.ly/A36S7
