Thank you Sweet Insomnia for helping me find time to write this. (3 of 5... though Im probably not going to stop at 5) Goals. Goals in life help set our expectations for ourselves and others. However if you meet a grown man who is well know but not into politics and says his dream is to be President or Governor he is mocked. Why?! He has a high goal as many philosophers said A man is only worth as much as his ambitions Take pride in your friends Ambitions and support them if possible. Do not baby him, but help him. I Myself want to join Force Recon in the Marines within the next 4 or 5 years. It is a grueling process of 18 months of training. What are your opinions on this pledge that every initiate must take. Realizing it is my choice and my choice alone to be a Reconnaissance Marine, I accept all challenges involved with this profession. Forever shall I strive to maintain the tremendous reputation of those who went before me. Exceeding beyond the limitations set down by others shall be my goal. Sacrificing personal comforts and dedicating myself to the completion of the reconnaissance mission shall be my life. Physical fitness, mental attitude, and high ethics—The title of Recon Marine is my honor. Conquering all obstacles, both large and small, I shall never quit. To quit, to surrender, to give up is to fail. To be a Recon Marine is to surpass failure; To overcome, to adapt and to do whatever it takes to complete the mission. On the battlefield, as in all areas of life, I shall stand tall above the competition. Through professional pride, integrity, and teamwork, I shall be the example for all Marines to emulate. Never shall I forget the principles I accepted to become a Recon Marine. Honor, Perseverance, Spirit and Heart. A Recon Marine can speak without saying a word and achieve what others can only imagine I want to help others in the only way I know how. That I feel comfortable with. By Protecting them. The way I see it joining this group does that the best. To Everyone. Believe in yourselves and your friends and you will go far. Go support your friends and gain there Love and you will be remembered for all time. (In my opinion this is my worst paper. Its to Idealistic... or is it? Maybe Im just letting life and the American Normal Conform my own view. Maybe its time to branch out a little more. Ya. Screw Normal.)
