“Thank you. You have done more in an 8 minute video than we (her parents and teachers) have been able to do for years. You put the first smile on her face that I’ve seen since this started last Friday. I think she now feels ready to go back to school tomorrow, granted she will still be on In-School-Suspension, but I think she is now not so apprehensive. [Her bully] is known to retaliate, quickly and under the radar. Our (her parents and teachers) biggest concern was how McKenna was going to handle that. You’ve now given her tools that she can’t WAIT to try out. She wants to see [her bully] confused and flustered. You’ve given us hope. I think hearing it from not only someone whose been there, but someone who is NOT her parents, gets through to her. We have been trying to tell her exactly the things you said. I always hope and pray that we are doing a good job parenting our Aspie, but sometimes feel like we big time fail. I know we don’t, but sometimes that doubt is there. To hear from someone who has “lived” it, so to speak, is amazing.
