Thank you all so much for the birthday wishes! It really does take a village, and it was great to get so many messages from everyone in my village. I had a fantastic birthday, as you all wished for me. The highlights were: -Went my grandma Beth Bransons and cooked breakfast with David Branson. Then played John Denver and Bob Dylan songs on guitar with David and Grandaddy Branson, including the song Take Me Home, Country Roads, which I suspect makes many people, including me, think of home: https://youtube/watch?v=KSmh6FO3T74 -Went to the grocery store to get food for birthday dinner later that night. Im moving to Boston in a few days, and I need boxes to pack things in, so I decided to go to the produce section and ask for some old banana boxes that would otherwise be discarded. I went up to a grocery store employee who was very polite and obviously very foreign, and I asked him for some banana boxes. He said, How many boxes you want? I have more banana boxes than you could ever want. Indeed, he had a giant pile of them right behind him that I totally missed; I snagged three. -Worked with my mom Cherie Burke Branson and my dad Dennis Branson to cook dinner and have a bunch of family and friends over, including John Zhou, Kyle Malone, and Joey Riddle. After everyone ate delicious food, we sat around and told classic Branson stories and jokes. Id heard most of these stories before but always love hearing them again, but Shellie Branson told one that I had never heard: Back when my dad and Shellie were kids, Grandaddy Branson got a new car and parked it in the driveway. Grandma Branson told him to park it in the garage. Grandaddy already turned off the car, and - being notoriously cheap - didnt want to bother with turning the car on again just to move it 20 feet into the driveway. So he decided to push the car into the garage with his butt; he ended up leaving a big butt dent in the back of his car, and never got it repaired. All in all, a birthday full of guitars, bananas, and laughs. It genuinely was a really sweet, relaxing way to celebrate my family, my home, and thus, celebrate me. Im going to miss my village :)
