Thank you to everyone who joined us at Berwick Springs this morning for Berwick Springs parkrun #2! We had 98 finishers, including 20 PB’s and 56 first timers. Arthur Karanasios was first over the line this morning in 19.31 and first female finisher was Belinda Roff in 22.33. Well done! Todays full results and a complete event history can be found on the Berwick Springs parkrun Results Page - parkrun.au/berwicksprings/results/latestresults/. Thank you to our 10 amazing volunteers! In order for parkrun to run, every week we need volunteers. If you would like to volunteer at Berwick Springs, you can email us at berwickspringshelpers@parkrun or let us know in person at Berwick Springs where we will be each Saturday morning (please don’t let us know through Facebook). So that everyone can have an opportunity to run, we ask that runners volunteer just 3 times a year. Please check the future roster at parkrun.au/berwicksprings/futureroster. Gloria Jeans Berwick will be rewarding one lucky volunteer a month with a coffee voucher that entitles them to one coffee a day for a month! A round of applause for today’s volunteers – Shaheera Huggins, Andrew Smith, Michelle Caile, Glenys Scott, Mat Whinney, Colleen Davies, Bethany Inglis, Jemima Whinney, John Dutton and Chris Fletcher. We love having juniors take part in parkrun, and were thrilled to have so many join in today. Just a reminder that all children under 11 must be supervised by a parent or guardian. Guardians must ensure that children place themselves appropriately so as to prevent a situation where they are being repeatedly overtaken at the start. This is to ensure the safety of your child. We wouldn’t be here without our amazing sponsors, so a big shout out to them – Adidas, Stockland and Suncorp Bank. And we would also like to thank Gloria Jeans in Berwick who provide 10% of all coffees after the run for parkrunners, and Woolworths at The Avenue who supply water and oranges at the finish line. Enjoy the rest of your weekend, and we’ll see you back again next parkrun day! Be there at 7.45am for a warm-up, and feel free to join us at Gloria Jeans Berwick for a post-run coffee. Please do remember your barcode, as no barcode = no time! We can also only give times to those people who complete the 5km circuit. For those of you who aren’t on Facebook and would like to view the photo’s please go to parkrun.au/berwicksprings/photos/.
