Thanks Jennifer! Sadly, illustrating what Ive suggested: the disqualification for owning a gun should be the desire to own a one. Gun owners deny they are in fear and yet, without fear, why would you? I do not think of having a gun as I do not live in fear of possible crime. Could be a connection ;-) (not that Id ever own a device whose only intent is to harm human beings even with crime fear; as opposed to Christian gun owners, I hope to follow JC and Company teaching: God is Love, Love your neighbours as yourself, Love those who do not love you, Love casts out all fear and Love does no harm. Got fear and intent to harm, not got God a.k.a. Love and truth a.k.a. good judgement clearly not demonstrated this incident; again.) Anyone in such fear they believe they need handy lethal force to protect themselves and their loved ones demonstrates fear blocking the truth, peace, joy and Love God is at a sufficiently high level their judgement is invariably impaired. This sad situation - a case in point. Therefore, a desire to own a gun indicating fear impairing judgement, casting out truth, peace, joy and Love God is, the disqualification for owning a gun should be automatically the desire to own a gun. Anyone desiring a gun, for the safety and benefit of their neighbours, their loved ones, society at large and themselves, should be immediately sent for fear treatment ending in faith, trust and hope - but the greatest of these is Love. These sad incidents will be much less likely to happen, and society, neighbours, families and the individuals themselves will better off for it. Peace.
