Thanks Lorissa Ricord for nominating me for the ALS ice bucket challenge! I know that most of you would like to see me dumping a bucket of ice water on my head, but I have instead decided to share a video that I found way more compelling: https://youtube/watch?v=h07OT8p8Oik. The young man in this video is the same age as I am, and the video starts with some humor. Skip ahead to the 2 minute mark for the real content of the video. ALS (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) is an aggressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. This basically means that over time, a person will cease to be able to use any sort of motor function that they currently have. There is no known cure. It is REAL, and it is SCARY. While I do not personally know anyone who has been affected by ALS, I still cant get the pain and fear in this young mans eyes out of my mind. So instead of dumping a bucket of ice on my head, Im challenging anyone who has any sort of respect for me at all to please share this video, and will also be making a donation of $100 to the ALS Association. I will however challenge Peter Kim because hes the homie and I know hell nominate some good people, Michael Yang because hes Michael Yang, and Gordon Tsai because myself, Michael, and Gordon need to play some Munchkin soon hah!
