That moment when you feel lucky when you see the elevator is waiting for you unused on your floor just waiting for you to open the doors, but fractions of a second before you push the button, the elevator lights tell you that its leaving, and its too late. Then it slowly dawns on you that not only were you denied because you were half a second too slow, but now you must wait twice as long as youd otherwise have to wait as it must go one way, and then come back.
