That was not a fun trip. We returned today from a weekend working on my parents house in northern NJ. We woke up this morning to steady freezing rain and ice covered roads. It was bad enough that the township put out a robo-call telling everyone to stay home. That delayed us about two hours and even then the roads were still pretty bad. The first two hours of the trip were driving in pouring rain with ice on the road and dense fog in many places. Then two hours of just pouring rain. Then an hour and a half of drizzle and wet roads. Despite it all, we made relatively good time and even bought gas in NJ for $1.899, certainly the cheapest Ive paid in a very long time. And NJ still doesnt allow self-serve, so I didnt have to get out of the car to get the gas.
