The 1st April is a memorable date for a number of reasons. April Fools Day for most. The founding of the British Royal Air Force by Lord Trenchard was also on this date in 1918. It was also the date of major flooding in Aden. Yemen, in 1967. Aden was a place where one did not usually expect more than an inch of rain in a year, but not in 1967. These photos may have been on 1st April, but they were no April Fools joke This was a reminder for me, as a teenager at the time, of Gods undertaking. It was a period of major conflict and terrorism.
