The 2nd nurse from Texas, (infected by caring for the late Mr. Duncan, who flew into the United States from Liberia) was flown to NIH in Maryland BECAUSE that was deemed the only place where she could be adequately isolated and treated. The news tells us NIH has only 4 slots for such patients. A similarly small (13 was what I remember) hospitals in the country are at least nominally capable of safely treating ebola patients. Obamas priorities are driven by political correctness with pathetic justifications to frighten people into not questioning. Pity the head of the CDC who is being humiliated by loyally parroting the excuses from the White House. His reputation is forever destroyed by saying Yes Sir! to the President and not telling the truth and resigning. Interestingly, African countries in close proximity to the epidemic say that closing their borders is the only way to save Africa.
