Her life as an atheist, Jewish philosopher, Christian convert and Carmelite martyr is covered in the movie, “The 7th Chamber”. St. Leo Parish will show “The 7th Chamber” this November on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 to 7:15 in the Social Hall of St. Leo’s Church. All are invited to follow her life as she struggles in her conflict of converting to Catholicism and in her sufferings under the Nazis as she journeys to a mystical union with God. Film critic, Steven Greydanies from The National Catholic Reporter, states that the “film shows that for Edith Stein it is only by knowing God that we know ourselves; only through Jesus that we know God, and only through the cross that we can know Jesus. “ Father Ross Miceli will facilitate discussion of the video each Wednesday evening from November 6th through November 20th.
