The AGM was held on Saturday the 30th of August 2014. The chairperson started by welcoming all to the AGM. He thanked the Committee Members for their contribution through out the past year and also thanked the staff for their dedicated hard work over the past year. The Home has joined up with Cheshire Homes and is now called DIE EILAND CHESHIRE HOME .Having joined Cheshire Homes it has assisted us in improving our administration and record keeping. we have been able to improve the remuneration of the staff, which has been long overdue. The involvement of the Department of Health has enabled us to appoint a qualified nursing Sister.This will assist in the care of the residents in a professional environment. Support from donors enabled us to upgrade our septic system, repair/replace our roof and guttering system, cement pathways, install security cameras and lights, improve the bathroom and purchase additional medical equipment. Our thanks to ALL our sponsors. The Home has had the license approved to accommodate up to 20 residence. The Auditors gave the a clean bill of health for the finances, so credit to all concerned. The Chairperson thanked everyone who walked into the home, offering assistance, time or donations. Without this help the home would not be the same. The manager thanked all the Donors and Sponsors for their contributions, the volunteers for their time and assistance, the staff for their hard work and understanding along with the high standard of care given to the residence. He also thanked the Board for their contribution to the management of the home.
