The Artist’s Hand Gallery Photography Lessons The Artist’s Hand Gallery is pleased to announce that Ronald Juliette, Ph.D., retired Professor of Photography (Communications Media), IUP, will teach a nine-lesson series on photography for the Gallery starting on September 21, 2013. The lessons are open to anyone who is interested in learning about photography or wishes to enhance their skills. The sessions are open to the general public but will be limited to 15 people. Registration can be completed at the Gallery or by calling 724-463-8170. Participants will need a digital single lens reflex camera or an advanced point-and shoot that allows for control of shutter speed (TV) and aperture (AV). The fees will be $35.00 per session or $275.00 for the entire series. Students will be charged $20.00 per session or $150.00 for the series. All sessions will be held in The Artist’s Gallery on Saturday afternoons and will start at 3:00 PM. The lectures will last approximately 45 minutes; Dr. Juliette will then help students by critiquing their photographs. Mastering what is and what is not in Focus. December 14th: When is enough enough: Exploring the Camera Shutter. January 18th : Exposing the Whole Truth and nothing but the Truth about Exposure. February 8th: Why great photographers are Control Freaks and why you should be too. March 15th: Man vs. Camera: Exploring artistic Sensibility. April 12th: Does composition Really Matter: A Frank Discussion. May 3rd: You’ve taken a picture; Now can you make a photograph?
