The Brisbane Courier Wednesday 31st October 1877 PRELIMINARY AUCTION NOTICE. If not Previously Sold by Private Contract. THAT SPLENDID FREEHOLD AGRICULTURAL AND GRAZING PROPERTY KNOWN AS NAMBOUR, On the Gympie-road, about seventy miles from Brisbane, four miles from Yandinah Telegraph Station, and two miles from Cobbs Camp ; also, within a few miles of navigable water (Maroochy River). This Valuable Property contains 1640 ACRES OF PRIME LAND, having six miles of fencing. A FAITHFULLY-BUILT HOUSE of Cedar and Hardwood, containing six rooms, with large verandah on all sides, Kitchen, and other Out-buildings. ARTHUR MARTIN has received instructions to sell by auction (if not previously disposed of privately), on an early day, due notice of which will be given, That Splendid Freehold Agricultural and Grazing Farm known as Nambour, on the Gympie-road, about 70 miles from Brisbane, and within a few miles of Cobbs Camp, the Electric Telegraph Station, and water carriage. The land, which is prime in quality, contains an area of 1640 acres, the whole of which is securely fenced and divided into paddocks (which are well grassed and watered), having about six miles of fencing. There are also 700 acres of land taken up under the Homestead Act, on which there are two years rent paid, making a total of 2340 ACRES. The DWELLING HOUSE, standing 5000 feet above the level of the sea, is well and faithfully built of cedar and hardwood, stands on a gently sloping eminence commanding a beautiful view, and within a short distance on the hill (about 30 yards) there is a never-failing spring of pure cold water. The Cattle were carefully selected from the well-known herd of Messrs. Bundock & Hayes, and the Brood Mares, which are really very fine, were selected from Windsor, New South Wales ; last years increase of calves were over 100. Note.-The Auctioneer would call special attention to the sale of this valuable freehold property, situated, as it is, so close to Brisbane, and lying about half way between it and Gympie.
