The CBC Pivot is an Asian Pivot. Whereas the CBC has been making up the news as it goes along with regard to the Ukraine, it rushed a reporter to Hawaii (now joined by CTV), Chris Brown. Willy nilly, the “fire in the engine room” incident onboard the ignominious Canadian “flagship” is being converted into an occasion for militarization and getting Harper’s armada into water as soon as possible. Don’t wait until its replacement is built; just buy one from Germany. None of the news items establish the elementary fact as to where the HMCS Protecteur was located just prior to this “Pacific mishap.” None of the news items says exactly where this took place in relation to its last ports-of-call or their participation in military-naval exercises of the US Seventh Fleet and their scenario, or why a single Canadian supply ship is exercising alone with the US fleet. And it has been gone from Canadian waters for 2-3 months now. Or perhaps it is just another hapless cruise ship lying dead in the water: seventeen civilian passengers” ... who are not identified. One is left to ponder two old sayings: “where there’s smoke, there’s fire.” Oops, the fire took place. An accident. Other old saying: If it smells like a rat… most likely, it is a rat.”
