The Chief minister must be commended for the distribution of laptops to the students.standing on the oposite side of the political spectrum,i believe the emergence of a strong oppossition led by shri ps golay needs to be credited for the swiftness of govt.action.when elections are round the corner,the distribution seems a lot more political gimmick,to woo the votes of the younger generation.twenty years in power,it should have come a lot earlier.the benefit would ve been astounding.the sdf seems to have just awaken from a deep slumber.schools are running on obsolete computers,without libraries.this could need an urgent hearing.nevertheless,for the state to make headway,what sikkim requires is a strong oppossition to ensure development for all.it is noteworthy that the educated youths have become more conscious and for a democracy to be vibrant and functioning,enlightened citizens are a must.
