The City Acoustic Club will open Sundays Simon Says on July 27th with brief sets from eight great performers who have consistently impressed us at our Monday nights. It was hard to get it down to these names, I consulted with Darren Nockles all the way. It wasnt a competition, it was done on pure merit but we could have filled another eight spaces with ease, we tried to be fair, and I wanted it to be people who had never played at Summer Sundae or Simon Says before. I pushed for ten slots then it went down to nine then to eight, also I was offered one of them as compere but I turned it down to give someone else a chance. I hope you all agree that this is a good cross section of the many great talents who appear on our Mondays, in no particular order here we will have: KEITH BUTLER FRANK JOHNSON MARK HARRISON ROSA-LEIGH TOM KANE JOHN ARTIST/SINGER RUTHIE COLES LES HAYDEN
