The Crossroads Film Society presents a one-time-only screening of James Francos film adaptation of William Faulkners AS I LAY DYING. Local cast & crew will be in attendance for Q&A and discussion following the film. Date: Tuesday, October 22, 2013 Time: 7:00 pm Location: Malco Grandview Theatre, Madison, MS Price: $20 Based on the acclaimed American novel by William Faulkner, AS I LAY DYING follows a family through their turmoil-filled journey to bring their mother to her gravesite. The film was made in central Mississippi in 2012 and is directed by and stars James Franco (127 Hours, Spider-Man, Milk), Tim Blake Nelson (O Brother, Where Art Thou?), Danny McBride (Up in the Air, HBOs Eastbound & Down), Logan Marshall-Green (Prometheus, Quarry), Ahna OReilly (The Help), Jim Parrack (HBOs True Blood), and introducing Mississippi actor Brady Permenter. The film also features performances by Mississippi cast members John Maxwell, Ash Taylor, Casey Dillard, Jessica Lemon Wilkinson, Dunlap Peeples IV, Kenny Cook, Ken Hudson, Cameron Spann, Marcus Vowell, and Emma Wynters. The film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in May and is currently playing in theaters in New York and Los Angeles.
