The Department of Foreign Affairs says Australians have been injured in an attack on a trekking group in Papua New Guinea. Two local porters were killed in the attack on the Black Cat Track in Morobe Province. A D-FAT spokeswoman says Australians and one New Zealander were wounded, but none of their injuries are life threatening. D-FAT is advising trekkers to avoid the track until local police have investigated the incident.
