The Detachment Member Training & Development Committee is calling on us all to help spread the word and make a final push to boost attendance for the Florida SAL College Class of 2015. We have had a very low return on applications this year and the cut-off is rapidly approaching. We do not want to cancel the class and we need your assistance. The Florida SAL College is open to any member of The American Legion Family. The college consists of three 4-hour courses. The first course will be delivered at the Fall Conference and the last 2 will be delivered in the Spring at a local American Legion Post. Each course is meant to deliver instruction about leadership / management that can be applied both in and out of the organization. This will be the base for the other courses that make up the entire Florida SAL College System that will go into more details about the organization. Attached is the Florida SAL College Application and we ask that you encourage those that may be interested to complete the application and return to us. The completion instructions are part of the application package. We will extend the date of submission to September 12, 2014 to allow for applications to be received.
