The French philosopher Voltaire, a sceptic who destroyed the faith of many people, boasted that within 100 years of his death, the Bible would disappear from the face of this earth. Voltaire died in 1728, but the Bible lives on. The irony of history is that 50 years after his death, his former house became the publishing centre of the Bible for the Geneva Bible Society, and his printing presses is used for printing thousands of Bible. After all, Jesus said,heaven and earth will pass away but my words will never pass away. (Mark 13:31)
