The Greek rendering of the phrase passed away in the scripture above means gone out of existence.so as a new creation you re a brand new man; not one who was merely forgiven his trespasses. The Bible says,... We are buried with him(christ) by baptism into death: that like as christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the father, even so we also should walk in newness of life(Romans 6:4). When your were born again, your humen spirit was recreated. Your history began that day; so as far as God is concerned, you never existed hitherto. Realize that you didnt merely turn over a new leaf when you were born again; you were recreated as a new species. You may still look the same way you did before you received christ as a matter of fact, your physical appearance remains the same but your spirit is renewed! Its a brand new life thats why the Bible says all things have become new! sickness, poverty failure and death are not a part of the new life in christ. Such things as ancestral cureses and generational sicknesses ceased to be a part of your life because you were severed from your earthly affinity when you were born again. Your life history began on the day you accepte christ and made him lord of your life.
