The Historic Vehicle Association has announced that the first Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupé (CSX-2287) has been chosen as the first automobile to be recorded under the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Heritage Documentation. That is a very prestigious designation, and congratulations to designer Pete Brock! CSX-2287’s sister car, CSX-2299, which won the GT class in the 1964 24 Hours of Le Mans and the 1965 24 Hours of Daytona and 12 Hours of Sebring, resides in the Larry H.
