The Holocaust committed by the Nazis in the 1940s is treated by current history books as an unusual and bizarre fact, due to the insanity of a group ideologically isolated. But in reality, this was only the most notorious chapter, of a cultural and historical process that had been occurring since the mid-19th century. This is the scientific racialism and its derivatives such as eugenics and the idea of racial purity. The 19th century was the Golden Age of European civilization. At that time, Europe took the lead in scientific, technological, political and military sectors, over the whole world. Far from involving only Germany, this process covered all European people, began to be considered superior, and therefore entitled to dominate the non-European peoples. European colonialism, which before was justified on religious grounds, started to have a scientific basis on which to stand. In the name of racial betterment of humanity, European nations practiced slavery and after the exclusion of former slaves, adopted a form of colonialism even more violent and cruel than the previous one. The genocide of native peoples was seen as necessary for the expansion of the superior peoples non-white people were seen as subhuman. Countries that today are considered champions of morality and justice, such as the USA, France and Britain, practiced in Africa and Asia, all that the Nazis planned to do in Eastern Europe. This documentary narrates brilliantly, this long history of horrors involving colonialism, racism and pseudo-science.
