The Irish Bandwagon rolls on ..... Guinness sell out in Bangladesh....golf to the Fore....St Paracetamol Day Sport update.... Welcome to St Paracetamol Day...the day after St Patricks Day !!! And it just had to happen in Bangladesh on Paddys Day as Ireland beat Zimbabwe off the last ball of their opening World Twenty20 match. Zimbabwe were going at almost 10 runs an over before eventually posting 163-5 from their 20 overs. Paul Stirlings 60 off 34 balls put Ireland in control as they entered the final over needing four runs to win. But, after losing two wickets, Stuart Thompson needed to scamper through for a single off the final ball to give his side a three-wicket victory. Reckon the team enjoyed a few glasses of Guinness afterwards on this special day. It is the second time Ireland have upset a Test nation on St Patricks Day, having beaten Pakistan at the 2007 World Cup. Irelands next game is on19th March against United Arab Emirates. Come on Ireland !! In last nights only English League match Preston North End and Sheffield United fought our a 0-0 draw at Deepdale. The Blades have had a fantastic 10 game winning streak and to take a point at one of the top clubs was a well earned result. The result leaves Preston fourth in League One, while Sheffield United are 10th and still in with a good chance of reaching the play-off places..... Congratulations to teenager (its her 18th birthday on Thursday) Charley Hull who shot a brilliant 62 on the Ladies European Tour on Sunday in Morroco to win The Lalla Meryem Cup, her first professional tournament win. She rocketed through the field and clawed back a 5 shot deficit to win on the first extra hole. Happy Birthday Charley !! On the men’s European Tour, Spain’s Alejandro Canizares held off England’s Andy Sullivan to win the Trophy Hassan II, also in Morocco. The son of the Ryder Cup star Jose Maria Canizares completed a wire-to-wire success with a 70 for a five-shot triumph on 19 under. And here in Phuket, Boonma Chaya secured a historic win at the BMW Golf Cup International World Final 2013 held at Blue Canyon Golf Club. The Nakhon Ratchasima native became the first Thai winner and recieved the trophy from six-time major winner Nick Faldo. Thats the latest updates on this St Paracetamol Day.....
