The Island of Dominica is full of steep hills, rain forests, rivers and waterfalls. Although we were only there for a very short time, Scooter tried to see as much as possible. Dominica does not have a lot of beaches, but off-shore is one of the world’s best diving areas. On the Southeast side of the Island, Dominica has an active Sea Turtle sanctuary. I have been told that when diving in that area, divers may run into two or three turtles during a dive. I think I’ll have to try that next time I return.
