The Legacy Ball Scholarship was established in 2009 by the Legacy Ball Committee and is awarded to one African-American high school student and one college student of any age. The award is to provide financial assistance to the recipient in their pursuit of an undergraduate degree at an accredited secondary institution. It also honors students for their academic work and their contributions to their school and home communities. Each scholarship is in the amount of $1000.00 and is a one-time award. The Legacy Ball was able to locate additional funding in previous years and ‘extra’ scholarships awarded. Thus, we reserve the right to add more money fairly to scholarships OR make more scholarships for helping students.
