The Lord gave me something tonight, and its for all who will hear. Im first partaker. Take your wares, where you can sell them. Let me explain... Proverbs 31, we see the epilogue of a virtuous woman but we all (men and women) can learn something here. The virtuous woman does many things... Two stick out to me in regard to my brief point. Verse 18a- She perceives that her merchandise is good. Verse 24- She makes linen garments and sells them, and supplies sashes for the merchants. It is very clear from the text that she has merchandise, she is a provider of fine linen garments and sashes. She is a woman of the market place. She even buys fields and plants vineyards. Shes a woman on the move. We can gather that if she is a provider of linens and is a supplier of said linens for merchants, that she and her wares can be found at appropriate times in the in the appropriate place. She positions herself to sell what she has made. Too often, we are sitting and waiting at home, at church, on the block, where ever for someone to come and give us an opportunity or purchase our wares. Having the skill or talent is cute, honing the skill or talent is great, but once you have done these things you MUST position the skill or talent in the marketplace. It is a rare thing that people will come in search of a hidden item for purchase. When a seller wants to move an item, they work to position it just right so that it is featured and light catches it in the right way. The seller positions the item for optimal aesthetic or functional appeal depending on the item. Let me go a little further... If the wealth of the wicked is laid up for the righteous, do you think that the wealthy are going to come into church and just start writing checks? Not gonna happen. However, if you as a child of God position your wares in the proper marketplace, if you position your skill in the proper marketplace, if you position your talent in the proper marketplace, the proper buyer will take notice. A lot of us dont need another word, or a miracle, or a breakthrough, we just need the right buyer or patron for our product. However, before anyone can patronize our products, we must first GO. GO, and get in position. GO, and move into correct placement to sell your wares. Even Jesus said GO!!! He didnt say stay ye here and folk with come to you asking what must I do to be saved. NO, Jesus said GO INTO ALL THE WORLD... First thing right there, GO. Get up and GO. Before you complain about God not doing what God promised, check your position. Did you first, GO? Have you moved in a given direction ordained by God? Or are we operating in fear? Take your wares where you can sell them. If there is not a buyer where you have been setting up shop, then youre not likely in the place God ordained for you to be. I used to sit up crying about not having anywhere to sing or work in music, until I realized that I had been sitting there waiting on somebody to call on me or come ask me to do something. Never thinking about the fact that NO BODY KNEW I WAS SITTING THERE WAITING. Ive had to learn how to get in proper position. I had to learn how to take my wares into the proper market place. I know this is for somebody. Somebody has just been sitting there waiting... Get up and GO.
