The National Weather Service has confirmed a tornado touched down in the Duanesburg area on Thursday. At least one home was destroyed. Several trees were toppled over. A tornado warning was issued for parts of the Capital Region late Thursday afternoon, after Doppler radar indicated possible rotation in the storm. Tornadoes are rated on a scale of EF0 (weakest) to EF5 (strongest). Right now, the National Weather Service says most damage appears to be in the EF1 range. That means winds of 86 to 110 miles per hour. More details are expected to be released later on Friday.
